Got Money? Dare To Spend It On An Independent Watchmaker's Timepiece?

As you probably know, together with a friend of mine I am hosting the Linkedin group ' a Passion for Watches '. With around 4,000 members, definitely the most interesting group to join if you are a registered member of Linkedin .
Today, I started a new discussion about buying a timepiece from one of the independent labels, like the ones below from Linde Werdelin.

Although I think that Independent watchmaking is a hot topic since the last two – three years, I don't see many people around me wearing or buying them. Instead, they tend to go for the safe bet and still purchase a watch from one of the established brands (eg Rolex, IWC, Panerai and so on). How come? Is it the fair bet on resale value? Or do people still want a 'renown' brand label on the dial of their watch?

Ocean7 LM-9T tattico progetto quadrante

Ocean7 è stato intorno per un po 'di tempo orologi produzione che sono abbastanza abbordabili. In realtà, essi devono ancora fare un orologio che viene venduto a più di $ 1000. Ci si dovrebbe aspettare questo nuovo orologio per essere da qualche parte tra $ 600- $ 700. Recentemente, Ocean7 chiesto pareri su questo nuovo design per il loro LM-9T. I risultati non sono stati positivi a tutti e il 70% delle persone non piace. Trovo che il nuovo design ha modo troppo arancio e ci sono poche altre zone in cui il miglioramento potrebbe essere fatto. La prima è la lunghezza della lancetta delle ore, che al momento è troppo breve. Il prossimo cambio possibile potrebbe essere la punta rossa sulla seconda mano. Perché Ocean7 metterebbe una seconda mano rossa su un orologio che è in primo luogo arancione? Il posizionamento del logo è strano, il quadrante di destinazione deve andare e (ancora una volta) c'è troppo arancione. Io proprio non riesco a superare la straordinaria quantità di arancione sul quadrante. Naturalmente, questo non è il progetto definitivo ed è puramente concettuale quindi aspettatevi di vedere alcuni cambiamenti per il momento l'orologio viene rilasciato. Nonostante il fatto che ci sono un sacco di modifiche che potrebbero essere fatte, io sono felice di vedere micro marchi come Ocean7 continuano a crescere perché non solo fa ben sperare per loro, ma anche per altri marchi come bene.
